City Cycle SF Signs On as Sponsor for New Cycling Club!
Newly formed, Les Volantes SF, a riding club for all seasons & reasons, is now forming! Join up! Tell your friends! Les Volantes (The Flyers, en Francais) will sponsor rides for all abilities of riders. Other possible offerings will be riding clinics & periodic discounted equipment purchasing opportunities. There will be an attractive Team Kit and club members will get 'em at wholesale cost. 30 members so far and counting!!

Scheduled Rides
Meet Les Volantes at City Cycle for weekly road rides on Saturdays at 9am and Sundays at 9:30am. The Saturday rides are designed with a mileage ramp building from week to week. Increasing your physical confidence and skill level in a group setting will make that century you've been training for much easier. Sunday's ride tends to cover shorter mileage at a more casual pace. Don't miss the monthly Booze Crooze to the Marin Brewing Company!

Join the Club
Annual dues are $30, payable by check or money order only made payable to “Les Volantes.” Presently, City Cycle of SF is the club’s only sponsor. Some attempts may occur to obtain additional sponsors. To join, send a check for $30, payable to “Les Volantes” to Les Volantes c/o City Cycle 3001 Steiner SF CA 94123. Or, if you stop by the store, you can leave a check at the front counter. (No cash, No credit cards, please. Your cancelled check is your receipt) You will need to complete the waiver and member roster.

Les Volantes needs you! The club needs the following positions filled: (one year terms) President, Vice President, Ride Planner, Members, Board of Directors (3 or more, up to 9) (Club Bylaws allow for as many as 9 Directors with a proper amendment to those Bylaws) (CFO/Sec'y position filled by volunteer Clay Mankin for first year). The club will also need volunteers to help develop a website. Les Volanteers Unite!

Les Volantes is about all kinds of riding with an emphasis on riding well (which is not the same as riding fast), imparting riding skills, riding safely and considering the presence and rights of other road and trail users. Les Volantes will create a ride calendar that reflects the variety and wishes of its membership. Get involved!
