Winter is near
Don’t be afraid… everything will be OK, but here comes winter. Don’t hide inside on the couch; you don’t have to. Riding in the cold, wet winter months always seems daunting, but when properly prepared, it isn’t bad at all. Lightweight fenders and the right clothing can make a less than stellar day turn out to be just as enjoyable as our wonderful summers. Shoe covers, layers, and fenders are crucial and we are getting all those goodies in right now so come and get set up for the winter. Remember to ride smart as well, slow down BEFORE those slippery wet corners and anticipate the terrain and traffic because it takes a bit more distance to stop. I would say ride like you drive in poor conditions but for some, that may not turn out very well. If you don’t want to brave the elements you can still stay in shape, trainers, rollers, and stationary bikes are all coming in as well.
